Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher has decided to go the complete opposite route that former GM Ron Hextall did. After Hextall decided to go the unexperienced route with his head coaches, Fletcher instead has decided to go with heavy hitters and seems "all in" to turn this thing around. Fletcher hired Alain Vigneault as the team's new head coach, than the duo added Michel Therrien as an assistant to the coaching staff. Today they also added Mike Yeo to the coaching staff. Like Therrien, Yeo has plenty of head coaching experience himself having been behind both the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues bench. Bill Meltzer points out this is the complete opposite philosophy of Hextall as "between Vigneault, Therrien and Yeo there are over 2,500 combined games as NHL head coach and roughly 1,300 HC wins".It's some big names to stand beside Vigneault, what do you think of his coaching staff? The Flyers also announced that Scott Gordon will head back to the AHL.
