"The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher announced another roster move on Saturday. As Fletcher continues to clean house, the Flyers GM announced that defenseman Andrew MacDonald has been placed on unconditional waivers for purpose of buyout. It's a move that some expected, however MacDonald did make a couple of strides to improved play and finding a reduced role last year. However the 32 year old won't be part of Fletcher or Alain Vigneault's vision for the improved Flyers. He had one season left on his contract so the Flyers will save roughly $3.83M in 2019-20 and have a cap hit of about $1.92M in 2020-21.More to come.
