The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Ron Hextall announced a roster move on Friday morning. Hextall announced that the team has called up goalie Alex Lyon from the AHL. Starter Brian Elliott was injured in the team's loss and there's still no confirmation how much time he'll miss. It's a big loss for the Flyers if he misses an extended period of time as the goalie was currently holding a 1.55 goals against average and .944 save percentage in his last seven games. As for Lyon, he'll be available for Saturday's game against the Lightning, he hasn't exactly had his best AHL season as he's currently looking at a 2-2-0 record in the AHL with a 3.54 goals against average and .910 save percentage. More injury news regarding Elliott will be made available later today.
