The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher announced a roster move on Wednesday. Fletcher has claimed 6'3 205lb forward Zack MacEwen off waivers from the Vancouver Canucks. It's a move that adds some beef for head coach Alain Vigneault and his lineup as MacEwen can throw his body around and drop the gloves. MacEwen registered 44 penalty minutes and 2 points in 34 games for the Canucks last season. The 25 year old is in the final year of his deal which carries an AAV of $825k and he'll be a restricted free agent next year with arbitration rights. More details to come.
