The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher really liked somebody still on the board and traded up to take him. After trading the 116th and 147th overall picks to the Tampa Bay Lightning for the 94th overall pick the Flyers snagged a power forward. At #94 the Flyers drafted Zayde Wisdom. In 2016-17, his draft year for the OHL, Wisdom played for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens in the Greater Toronto Hockey League. In 57 games played, he scored 15 goals and added 38 assists for 53 points. His team ended up having a lot of success, winning the OHL Cup at the end of the season.With two OHL seasons under his belt, Wisdom has finally started to come into his own as a player. Playing top-line minutes this past season with Shane Wright, Wisdom was near a point per game pace. In 62 games played, he had 29 goals and 30 assists for 59 points.
