The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher announced a roster move on Monday night. The team has traded for the negotiating rights to pending free agent Kevin Hayes from the Winnipeg Jets.In return, Winnipeg will receive a 5th round pick. The move gives the Flyers and Fletcher a head start on negotiating with the pending free agent, however doesn't guarantee he won't test the free agent market and play for somebody else next season. Hayes might very well stay in Philly though as he's very familiar with the Flyers new head coach, Alain Vigneault, from their time together in New York for the Rangers.
