"The Philadelphia Flyers skated away with a big win last night against the Columbus Blue Jackets which saw the two teams have to settle things in overtime. During the game there was a no call by referees after Flyers defenseman Matt Niskanen slashed Blue Jackets' forward Gustav Nyquist. NIskanen's stick broke on the play and Nyquist went down immediately. There was no penalty called on the play. On Friday the NHL Department of Player Safety announced a punishment for Niskanen. ""Philadelphia's Matt Niskanen has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Slashing Columbus' Gustav Nyquist.""What do you think of the NHL's ruling?
