"The Philadelphia Flyers have completely fallen apart this season. They were one of the top teams in the MassMutual East division to start the season but things completely fell apart and now they won't even be making the playoffs. While the Flyers haven't been officially eliminated from the playoffs yet, it would take an absolute miracle to get back in the race at this point sitting 9 points behind the 4th place Boston Bruins. Captain Claude Giroux continues to receive a lot of criticism because some feel he shows a lack of leadership. Giroux said he's frustrated with the team this year. ""It's definitely frustrating to be a player in this situation. We are [worthy on paper of being] a playoff team. To not even be in the race at this point, it's very frustrating.""The 33 year old has 13 goals and 22 assists this season in 46 games. He's got one more year left on his deal that carries a $8.275million cap hit.
