The goalie position has been one that has been the center of conversation of the Flyers for the past three weeks. From Carter Hart seemingly playing the last game of his Flyers career to Samuel Ersson bouncing back after being outscored 27-12 before the All-Star break, the goalie position is one that will make or break the Flyers as the season progresses.

As the Flyers prepare for a Saturday night showdown against the Seattle Kraken in hopes of a third straight victory, head coach John Tortorella decided to shake things up in between the pipes.
29-year-old goalie Cal Petersen will be making the start tonight, his first start since November 11 against the Los Angeles Kings.

As the Flyers try and prepare to balance life without Carter Hart, John Tortorella is tasked with finding a balance between Ersson and Petersen, without wearing down Ersson as that may have been a factor of his decline in play before the All-Star break.
"We haven't even had that conversation yet. I'm playing Cal tonight."

Flyers fans should have high hopes for Saturday as the last time Petersen made a start, Petersen was chosen as the dog mask represenatitive of the night as he recorded 35 saves on 37 shots with a .946 save percentage as the Flyers took down the Los Angeles Kings 4-2.
Will Petersen put in another strong performance and lead the Flyers to their third straight win?
