Philadelphia Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher has been putting in work this offseason and he'll be just as busy today. One of his biggest holes to fill today will be finding a new backup and somebody to replace Brian Elliott between the pipes. We heard that the Flyers were in on goalie Darcy Kuemper yesterday from NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, however it seems the cost might be just too high through trade. So instead the Flyers and general manager will look towards the free agent market. According to Flyers' insider Sam Carchidi, the team is in the running to sign recently bought out Braden Holtby who also happens to be a good friend with Carter Hart. Holtby struggled as expected last year playing for the disastrous Canucks and put up a 3.67 goals against average and .889 save percentage however in a new home with an improved defense and lighter workload he could definitely return to his career numbers of 2.59 goals against average and .915 save percentage. Do you think Holtby would be a good fit?
