Jakub Voracek celebrates a goal

It's always a special moment for the fans when a former fan favorite Flyer decides to take in a game at Wells Fargo. This was the case tonight when the Flyers took on the Arizona Coyotes as the camera panned to a suite showing former Flyers All-Star Jakub Voracek in attendance.

Voracek, who is still registered with the Coyotes as a player has been unable to play since last season when he sustained another injury which has kept him out of the lineup. This season is the final season for his contract where he holds an $8.25 million cap hit which was signed back in 2016 with the Flyers as an 8-year $66 million contract.
With his history of injuries especially with the concussions he will no longer lace up his skates again.
The 34-year-old who was drafted in 2007 by the Columbus Blue Jackets was the 7th overall pick. His illustrious career saw him spend the bulk of it in the Flyers organization from 2011 till 2021. His best season with the Flyers was in 2017-2018 when he played all 82 games scoring 20 goals with 65 assists for 85 points it was a + 10.
In my opinion he will always go down as one of the best scoring forwards in Flyers history and one the fans will always cherish.
