Tonight will be a big night at the Wells Fargo Center as the Philadelphia Flyers will raise Eric Lindros's famous number 88 to the rafters during a pregame retirement ceremony. Lindros scored 290 goals and 695 points in 486 career games with the Flyers and will be just the sixth player in team history to have his number retired.
Hopefully the extra buzz in the build will help the Flyers who got smacked around during 5-1 loss at the New York Rangers on Tuesday night. They are catching the Maple Leafs at the right time as they have just four wins over their last 10 games. They took a 1-0 lead into the final minute of regulation versus the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday, but lost 2-1 in overtime.
The Flyers are going for the season sweep of the Toronto after a pair of 4-2 victories earlier in the season. Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier and Scott Laughton each have three points against the Maple Leafs this season.
Dave Hakstol will make a pair of lineup changes for tonight's game. Tyrell Goulbourne will draw back in and will likely take Taylor Leier's spot on the fourth line. Leier was one of the few Flyers who had a decent showing versus the Rangers, but he will head the press box regardless.
Michal Neuvirth will get a rare start after playing the third period in relief of Brian Elliott on Tuesday. Elliott could use a break after giving up five goals on 21 shots in New York.
