It's clear that the Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher have a top goal this offseason. Adding a top tier defenseman. Recent speculation has the Flyers labelled as one of if not the top landing spot for disgruntled Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Seth Jones. However it'll take a lot of assets to land Jones and Fletcher might have to figure out another way to add to the blueline. The Flyers were heavily attached to Nashville Predators defenseman Mattias Ekholm at the trade deadline however the Preds decided to keep the defenseman for a potential playoff run. With the season over the Predators are looking to blow it up a bit and started tearing it down with the trade of popular forward Viktor Arvidsson for just a couple of picks. Nashville has opened up the phone lines on Ekholm once again and according to The Fourth Period, the Flyers have been linked to the 31 year old again. Ekholm is in the final year of his deal which carries a $3.75million cap hit. Do you think Ekholm is a better fit over Jones?
