The Flyers start a busy weekend with tonight's game at the lowly Arizona Coyotes. Although, the Coyotes sit at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, the Flyers need to be careful of getting caught looking ahead to tomorrow's game at the Vegas Golden Knights. The Coyotes may only have 13 wins on the season, but one of those was against the Flyers back in October.
The Coyotes are ranked 30^th in the NHL scoring with just 2.31 goals per game, just ahead of the Buffalo Sabres and their 2.30 goal per game average. If the Flyers can jump out to an early lead, the Coyotes just don't have the fire power to mount a big comeback.
Drawing penalties will be a key to victory tonight as well. The Flyers have the NHL's fourth best road power play with 21 goals in 91 attempts (23.1%) and will face the league's 28^th ranked home penalty kill at just 76.2%. In fact, the Coyotes can't do much at all on special teams at home as they also have the NHL's worst home power play.
Dave Hakstol will use the same line combinations and defensive pairings that beat the Montreal Canadiens last time out.
