Former Philadelphia Flyers general manager Ron Hextall was knocked for not making enough blockbuster trades, however no one can fault him for his draft picks. One of the latest standouts is 2018 first round pick Joel Farabee.Hextall got a bit of flack for the pick, however a year later and Hextall no longer with the Flyers, Farabee's skill set is coming together in the NCAA. The 19 year old put up 5 points in 7 games at the World Juniors and now has 31 points in 33 games for Boston University. As Alexander Appleyard of The Athletic points out "He leads all NCAA players born in 2000 or later in both points (28) and points per game (0.90). Moreover, the Flyers' prospect has been the best player on a Boston University team that boasts 11 other NHL draft picks apart from Farabee, including three first rounders and eight players taken in the top 100."Hopefully new GM Chuck Fletcher holds onto the youngster.
