"The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Ron Hextall announced some more roster moves on Tuesday. The team has assigned both Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Phil Myers to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the AHL. While nobody is really surprised at Aube-Kubel being sent down, a large group of Flyer fans are upset that Myers has been sent down. The 6'5"" 21 year old defenseman looked like he was ready to breathe a bit of life into the Flyers defense. Myers put up 21 points in 50 games in the AHL last season, but with Andrew MacDonald back and Travis Sanheim waiting in the wings, it was unlikely the Flyers would be willing to carry eight defenseman when the season starts. What do you think of Hextall's moves today?
