"The Philadelphia Flyers search for a new general manager continues. On Thursday we heard a couple of options and many believed that former Minnesota Wild GM Chuck Fletcher was in the lead. NHL Insider Darren Dreger reported that the Flyers were interviewing with him on Thursday and it was his job to lose, well it sounds like he didn't have a great interview. On Friday insider Bob McKenzie reported and confirmed that the Flyers have asked for permission to speak to Dave Nonis of the Anaheim Ducks who currently serves as a ""consultant to the general manager"" and Bill Zito who is currently the Columbus Blue Jackets assistant GM. Nonis would probably be a terrible decision, while Zito is an interesting option. Do you think either of these are better than Fletcher?
PHI has asked for and received permission from ANA to talk to Dave Nonis about the Flyers GM job. Chuck Fletcher and Bill Zito are the other candidates, to this point. https://t.co/XYcW2qrdjh
