The Flyers will get their first look at the Carolina Hurricanes tonight. These two teams will get very familiar with each other as they will play four times over the last 30 games of the season. All four of those games will be very important as the two teams are separated by just a single point.
Dave Hakstol has made a change to his bottom six after Saturday's overtime loss versus the Ottawa Senators. Taylor Leier, who was just reinserted into the lineup on Saturday, will play on the third line tonight. Michael Raffl will be demoted to fourth line duty.
Brian Elliott is expected to return to the Flyers net tonight. This will be Elliott's first game action since beating the Detroit Red Wings on January 23.
The Hurricanes are coming off a 3-1 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday that caused head coach Bill Peters to call out his team's effort during his postgame press conference. Carolina is struggling to score lately as they have one or zero even strength goals in nine of their last 13 games.
