"Things are starting to really heat up between the Montreal Canadiens and the Philadelphia Flyers as the two launched attacks through the media and on social media after the very physical and emotional game last night. Hostilities began when we learned that Jesperi Kotkaniemi will not be suspended for his hit on Travis Sanheim and that Brendan Gallagher will likely have to leave the bubble to go for a CT scan due to a possible fractured jaw.The official Canadiens Twitter account along with communications manager Paul Wilson tweeted a slow motion video where it's possible to see Matt Niskanen's cross check Gallagher in the face and now Niskanen will have a hearing later today with the NHL's Department of Player Safety. Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault then decided to get things going as he told the media it wasn't Niskanen's fault that Gallagher is shorter than your average NHL player and that Nick Suzuki tapping Carter Hart on the head was very interesting but wouldn't elaborate on what ""interesting"" means. If Niskanen is suspended, we can expect things to absolutely blow up between these two teams leading to a very intense puck drop tomorrow night. Playoffs baby!!
