As the Philadelphia Flyers are less than a month away from the trade deadline, the team also has another important date circled on their calendar coming up just a month after. As of Friday, the Philadelphia Flyers currently sit in third place in the Metro Division and in a playoff spot. When April 18 comes, will the Flyers still be sitting there? This statistic proves that could very likely be the case.
Although Flyers fans began to panic at the end of January, and for all the right reasons as the team dropped five straight and was outscored significantly during that time while also having to deal with controversy and injuries, the Flyers have come out of the All-Star break roaring and ready for whats next.
After defeating two more teams ranked in the NHL's top ten, the Flyers are not only amassing wins against the NHL's best, but they are instilling confidence that that can skate with the top teams in the league.

Nine wins over the NHL's top ten teams is extremely impressive, considering the youth of the Flyers and instability at goal due to the Carter Hart situation. Guys like
Travis Konecny,
Joel Farabee, and
Owen Tippett have really found their grove and have been able to carry the Flyers on the offensive end.
The Flyers are going to need that confidence in the month of March as they face a daunting schedule, playing 13 total teams who currently sit in a playoff spot. Injuries and the overall up and down of a season can greatly affect this, but the Flyers will have to be firing on all cylinders in the month of March.
If they can come out of March relatively unscathed, the Flyers will be in prime position for a Playoff push.
