"It was supposed to be just a regular conditioning stint, but turned into another injury disaster. The Philadelphia Flyers sent Samuel Morin to the AHL last week so he could get a couple of games in.Once Morin got his gears going again, he was supposed to be called back up and play some NHL games, however now his NHL career might be over. Morin was injured last night while playing for Lehigh Valley and eventually was diagnosed with a torn ACL in his right knee.... the same knee from his last ACL tear. It's a really tough break for a young kid the Flyers organization really likes, but now another year long recovery will likely derail him off the Flyers depth chart and put in question his hockey future. With only nine NHL games under his belt at 24 years old and another lengthy rehab, it's more than likely Morin might have to start looking at life after hockey. We wish him the best in his recovery.
Just a routine hockey play in the corner (nothing malicious), but it's season-ending for Sam Morin.
The kid can't catch a break. Here's the play from last night's game that saw Morin come out of the corner flexing his right knee. pic.twitter.com/MG2v81v3nQ
