"Tuesday night's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins was a complete dud. Not only did the Flyers lose to their interstate rival 5-1, but they also got an injury scare from Ivan Provorov.
Just before Jamie Oleskiak scored the Penguins fifth and final goal, with about six minutes remaining in the third period, Provorov limped off the ice after blocking a shot. Although he looked to be in quite a bit of pain, the young defender remained on the bench and even took another shift before the clocked expired.
Provorov proved how tough he is again this morning as he was on the ice for today's skate and was a full participant in practice. It sure looks like he will be good to go when the Flyers host the New York Islanders on Thursday night.
Flyers practicing earlier than expected. Noteworthy: Ivan Provorov is on the ice. After the shot he blocked, I wasn't sure he'd be able to get his skate back on a day later. Tough guy and obviously important piece for PHI.
