Jakub Voracek And Carter Hart Set To Do Something Amazing Thursday.

Two of the Philadelphia Flyers' stars are set to take part in an amazing campaign on Thursday. During the Flyers preseason game against the Boston Bruins, both goaltender Carter Hart and forward Jakub Voracek will use custon-designed gold sticks that feature drawings by childhood cancer patients. Following the game, the sticks will be auctioned off to raise money for The Kisses For Kyle Foundation. "The Philadelphia Union (Major League Soccer team) reached out, they do a kid's cancer awareness month," Hart said. "It's for a good cause and to raise awareness and raise money."
Along with the Flyers, the Phillies, Eagles and Union will take part using specially designed cleats. "As a club, we wanted to honor these kids by connecting them with professional athletes through art and design," said Doug Vosik, Union senior vice present of marketing and communications. "DezCustoms did a phenomenal job making their art come to life and bring awareness to the fight against childhood cancer. It's amazing how this project has unified the professional teams in Philadelphia. What started as a project for the Union and these kids has turned into one supported by all of the pro teams in Philadelphia."
