"The Philadelphia Flyers took down one of the best teams in the NHL last night with a 2-1 win over the Calgary Flames in overtime. While the Flyers got off to a bit of a slow start, they battled back and scored the tying goal in the second period. It was a special moment not only because they tied the game but because it was Kevin Hayes first goal back with the team and first goal he's scored since the passing of his brother Jimmy. Right after scoring the goal, Kevin pointed to the sky dedicating the goal to Jimmy. Cam Atkinson scored the winning goal and sent the crowd home happy. After the game, Hayes spoke about the emotional goal. "I'm happy it happened sooner rather than later honestly. It was a big goal," Hayes haltingly said after the game. "The trainers got the puck for me, I'm going to give it to Jimmy's kid, Jimmy's son Beau, and it'll be one I remember for forever.""I know how special that goal was for Kev. I was just happy to be a part of it," Atkinson said, before noticeably choking up. "I love this guy here."
