While the focus in Philadelphia right now is if general manager Chuck Fletcher will be able to sign Kevin Hayes, there's a big weekend coming up.The NHL Draft is just around the corner as the first round opens up next Friday. Fletcher has already publicly stated that he's taking offers on his #11 pick overall but hasn't really received any serious offers yet. It's likely that the Flyers keep their first round pick, especially if Hayes doesn't sign and The Athletic's NHL prospect analyst Corey Pronman has put together his first mock draft of the offseason. Pronman believes Fletcher would love to land defenseman Philip Broberg but it's unlikely he's still around at #11. So Pronman has the Flyers taking US Development Program winger Matthew Boldy. "I think Philly would love for Broberg to get to them to add a true top-tier defenseman to its farm system. If the draft plays out like this, though, it would be hard for them to pass on the elite skill Boldy has at No. 11. After the Kirill Kaprizov saga in Minnesota, I don't know if I can see the Chuck Fletcher regime picking a player signed by SKA in Podkolzin."
Boldy had 81 points in 64 games with the A team last year and added 12 points in 7 games during the U18's.At 18 years old he stands at 6'2 and 192 lbs and has committed to Boston College for next year.
