There was plenty not to like about how this season went for the Philadelphia Flyers. However one bright spot was definitely forward Joel Farabee taking the next step in his NHL career. After registering 8 goals and 13 assists in 52 games during his rookie season last year, the 21 year old put up 20 goals and 18 assists this year in 55 games. With one year left on his entry level contract, could we see the Flyers sign Farabee to a long term extension?NHL insider Elliotte Friedman believes so. "I can see Philadelphia trying to lock up Joel Farabee long-term like they did with Travis Konecny. A lot to like there."
Friedman believes we could see the Flyers hand Farabee a contract similar to Travis Konecny's which clocked in at 6 years and $33million for a a $5.5million AAV. Would you like to see the Flyers sign Farabee to this type of deal?
