MUST SEE: Tortorella makes heartfelt gesture towards fans

Philadelphia is a city that prides itself of off passion, emotion, and dedication. For fans of Philadelphia sports teams, they use those teams as a representation and embodiment of that city. Through heartbreak and triumph, the city of Philadelphia's pulse lives through its sports teams. After one fan expressed this emotion to the Flyers bench boss, Tortorella responded in a heartfelt way.
Jaxson Webster, current student at Arizona State University and Philadelphia native, and his father wanted to express the emotion of Philadelpia sports and show what success means to the city. About two months ago, Webster and his father penned a letter to Flyers head coach John Tortorella with hopes that Tortorella would just read it.
To Webster and many fans surprise, Torts responded and showed his dedication to the Flyers and the city of Philadelphia.

Tortorella responded and acknowledged that he understands the passion and emotional investment that Philadelphia puts into their sports teams and vowed that his top priority is giving Philadelphia a product to be proud of.
"Brian...Thanks for your letters. I can feel your love of sport through reading your letter. We are going to try like hell to get things right with the Flyers. Thanks for your thought!"
With Tortorella bringing a gritty, old-school coaching style along with new front office members Danny Briere and Keith Jones not only making moves, but showing a dedication to the fans by being transparent, honest, and showing a desire to win, things have already turned a corner for the Flyers since the past couple of seasons.
With a culture established and many young prospects in the wings, the Flyers could return to prominence very, very soon.
