When head coach John Tortorella took the job with the Flyers, it became clear that Flyers centerman Noah cates was going to be a Tort's favorite. Cates has shown to his bench boss an organization that he is sound defensively and gives solid minutes every night especially last season.
After an up and down start to the year and being knocked out by a long-term injury, Cates has emerged and is now begin showing his offensive talents as he scored the game-winning goal last night against the Florida Panthers.
With the trade deadline approaching and potential players on the move, Cates will be expected to play more minutes as he moves into a more veteran presence even being in the NHL for such a short time.
