Philadelphia Flyers Announce the Final Practice of the Regular Season

The Flyers announced their usual morning skate for Tuesday morning before their regular season Finale game against the Washington Capitals Tuesday night. There have been a few scenarios where the Flyers can still make the playoffs and extend their season for at least one playoff series, but they are slightly unlikely to happen, as many games outside of their control would need to fall the Flyers way involving multiple teams.

Tuesdays Morning Skate could very well be the last time we see the Flyers outside of game action until next season. If that is so, then it has been a crazy season and no matter what happens Tuesday, both inside and outside of the Flyers control, one has to admit, the Flyers exceeded all expectations this year, even completing this late in the season for a playoff spot, after holding a playoff spot for more than two-thirds of the season.

Yes, we will all talk about the last month collapse that likely ruined the Flyers chances at getting into the playoffs, but what most will forget is all the Flyers went through this year. Injuries to key players, like Sean Couturier, Travis Konecny, Nick Seeler, Jamie Drysdale and a myriad of other Defensemen. The Horrible Situation with Carter Hart which will end up costing the Flyer's their first real franchise goaltender in decades. The Drama surrounding Cutter Gauthier. Constant debates of the coach losing his locker room, a benching of a Captain a mere days after he was named Captain.


A list like that would cripple any team into firing management and coaches and leading into a high lottery draft pick. On the contrary, the Flyers are in a very good position to sign a few Free Agents and bring their high-end prospects over to the NHL soon.
