Ivan Fedetov, the Philadelphia Flyers newest goaltender who arrived from Russia just late last week, has made his debut in a game tonight vs the New York islanders.

Fedetov arrived from Russia after having his KHL contract terminated last week. He was drafted in the 7th round by the Philadelphia Flyers 8 years ago and has finally made his way to his dream of playing in the NHL.
Fedetov started the second period for the Flyers after Sam Ersson let up two goals on six shots. It has been a rough stretch for Ersson, who has lost multiple games in a row. Head coach John Tortorella has said he thinks Ersson is fatigued with the increased workload, after being thrust into the starting role with the departure of Carter Hart.
