Philadelphia Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol recently hinted that new backup goalie Calvin Pickard could start the Flyers October 10th game against the Ottawa Senators. With a possible start looming, it only makes sense that Pickard went out and got a new goalie mask painted for the occasion. Pickard decided to involve Philly's new popular or unpopular character depending on who you ask, Gritty the mascot. Gritty has made it to the big time, after being featured on multiple national TV shows, he now appears on a goalie mask. Check out the design in the picture below:
