"The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher have yet to get a deal done with their remaining two restricted free agents, Travis Konecny and Ivan Provorov. With no deal in sight for Provorov, it seems it might be the opposite for Konecny. Jason Myrtetus of 97.5 The Fanatic reports that the Flyers and Konecny are extremely close to getting a deal done. Myrtetus reports that it would likely be a bridge deal for 2-3 years and carry an AAV of $4.5million. Konecny has registered back to back 24 goal seasons and seems ready to build on that with another great season. A deal at $4.5million would leave around $8.9million to get something done with Provorov.
I checked in with someone in the know and was told Konecny is getting very close. Likely a bridge deal around 23 years about 4.5AAV. Provorov is stalled completely because the RFA market is also stalled. Agents and players playing the waiting game and no wants to sign first. https://t.co/YZeqPtTWXi
