The Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher has already stated they won't be big players during free agency. However that doesn't mean they won't be trying to make trades during the offseason to address some of their problems. We've already heard that the Flyers have been heavily attached to Calgary Flames forward Johnny Gaudreau and according to one report it seems they're also in on Winnipeg Jets forward Patrik Laine. NHL insider Bruce Garrioch reports that the Flyers are one of the teams having serious discussions regarding Laine along with the Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets. Garrioch adds that the Flyers are "aggressive" in Laine trade talks and it's more than likely Shayne Gostisbehere would be involved. Over the last year the Jets lost defensemen Dustin Byfuglien, Jacob Trouba and Ben Chiarot. Laine would give a huge boost to the Flyers and top six and power play.
