It's a sad day coming as pretty much everybody believes that the Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Chuck Fletcher will move Wayne Simmonds at the trade deadline. Fletcher has hinted at a small chance that the Flyers keep Simmonds as their "own rental" at the deadline and let him walk during free agency or trade him at the draft. However teams like the Tampa Bay Lightning, Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs have all been attached to Simmonds and it's likely he's moved. Many Flyers' fans are disappointed that the team hasn't made any attempts to sign him to a contract extension and those feelings grew even stronger with how Simmonds played over the weekend. Well Flyers fans can at least know that Simmonds feels the same way as they do. "I wouldn't say the lines of communication are completely closed, but I think at this point it kind of is what it is," Simmonds said Thursday after practice. "Me as an individual, it's not my job to take care of that sort of stuff. That's why we have agents."
