The Philadelphia Flyers have gotten lots of praise for their prospect pool over the summer. However it looks like the franchise might lose two youngsters due to NHL rules. Like every year, there's a list of players who must be signed by August 15th at midnight or risk losing their signing rights. We've seen the Nashville Predators lose out on Jimmy Vesey and the Colorado Avalanche lose out on Will Butcher the last couple of years and the Flyers have two players who they risk losing. While neither are likely to be considered as talented as Vesey or Butcher, it's always good to have young depth in the organization. The Flyers could lose 2013 5th round pick Terrance Amorosa and 2013 7th round pick David Drake. Amorosa has spent the last four seasons with Clarkson University putting up 27 points in 40 games last season. While Drake spent the past four seasons with the University of Connecticut and got a taste of AHL action, playing seven games with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last year and even got a playoff game under his belt. The Flyers have used up 48 of their maximum 50 contracts, so it wouldn't be surprising if Ron Hextall let's them both walk and continue their careers somewhere else.
