The Philadelphia Flyers took a tough blow when they lost starting goalie Brian Elliott. Elliott's been off to a pretty good start this season despite his 6-7-0 record, he's also registered a 2.59 goals against average and .911 save percentage. Backup Calvin Pickard has had some bright spots during his starts, but the majority of them have been a disaster. While Pickard has a nice looking win/loss record at 3-1-2, the goalie has a 4.60 goals against average on the season and .852 save percentage. In his two last starts, Pickard has put up save percentages of .769 and .778, clearly it's starting to look like it's time to move on. Alex Lyon has yet to get a start in the NHL this season despite all the goalie injuries. The 25 year old hasn't exactly looked good in the AHL with Carter Hart eating most of his starts, however Lyon was 4-2-1 last year for the Flyers in 11 appearances and registered a 2.75 goals against average and .905 save percentage. Should the Flyers move on from Pickard and Lyon get the majority of the starts while Elliott is sidelined?
