Just two days after being demoted back to Lehigh Valley after a short stint with the Flyers, Philadelphia Flyers 24-year-old center Olle Lycksell was once again called back up in a second chance to prove his worth to the Flyers and head coach John Tortorella. After playing in the Phantoms game in Charlotte on Saturday night, Lycksell quickly hopped on a flight to Pittsburgh to join the Flyers for their Sunday afternoon matchup with the Penguins, and Lycksell turned in an encouraging performance in the Flyers loss.

After scoring two games in his only game with the Phantoms on Saturday night, Lycksell stepped up in a big way for the Flyers on Sunday, especially with guys like Tyson Foerster and Jamie Drysdale suffering injuries during the game.
In the third period as the Flyers were down 6-4 with nine minutes to go in the game, the Flyers were in desperate need to score a quick goal to get back in the game. In came Lycksell as he dished a much needed assist on a Cam York goal to pull the Flyers within one and give them life.
After the game, head coach John Tortorella was especialy impressed with Lycksell's effort, and emphasized he is someone the Flyers will need to step up down the stretch.
"The last time I gave him some ice time was two games prior, and he has really improved. A guy that's playing free-er is him. I think he just feels more comfortable here. He knows the guys better, feels more comfortable, so the ice time he got, he deserved."

With Lycksell turning in his best performance of his short Flyers stint this season, will fans be seeing Lycksell on the ice more down the stretch?
