The Philadelphia Flyers enter the last week until the trade deadline in an interesting predicament for first year general manager Danny Briere and vice president Keith Jones. After a weekend that saw the Flyers compete in two entertaining battles with the New York Ranger and Pittsburgh Penguins but come up short, it is clear moves need to be made as the Flyers cannot afford a losing streak in a playoff push. On Sunday, it is being reported that teams are now looking to acquire two Flyers defensemen as a 'packaged deal' before the deadline.
It makes sense as to why teams would want to acquire this pair as a tandem, as the duo has combined for 31 points, 25 assists, and six goals on the year. Walkers consistent play as well as Seeler's scrappy ability is a great quality for a playoff team to carry into the postseason.
Although Seeler has become quite the fan favorite with his gritty efforts and never backing down from dropping gloves and throwing fists, if the Flyers can get a great return for the duo, it would be a solid deal, especially considering both are on expiring contracts.
