John Tortorella seemed quite upset with his goalie Felix Sandstrom after last game as he walked out on the media when asked how he felt about his goalie's performance.
Torts spoke to reporters today saying that he apologizes for how he handled the situation and should have never acted that way, he believes Sandstrom deserves better from his coach.
Tortorella this morning apologized for his non-response when asked about goalie Felix Sandstrom's play Sunday: "I made a terrible mistake with you guys the other night. You might have asked me about Sanny. My body language was wrong. What I should have said to you was he tried. Sanny tried. Things happened this year that put our goaltending situation into a state of flux. Sanny did not deserve that from me. You had the perfect right to ask that question. He did not deserve that from me. It was wrong."
The Flyers Head Coach clearly acknowledges that he made an error in how he handled the situation and that his goaltender deserves better, he deserves to hear it directly from him and not through the media.
