The Philadelphia Flyers dropped their second game in a row as they lost to the Calgary Flames by the score of 3-1. Philly came out to a slow start and was never able to get things going. Head coach Alain Vigneault who hasn't been shy to call out his new team for poor efforts, did it once again. "I wasn't impressed by anything we did tonight," he said.
Vigneault said that the only player who showed up was goalie Brian Elliott, while the Flames kept it simple and outplayed the Flyers from the start. "If there is anything positive to take away from tonight's game, I would say it was the play of our goaltender," Vigneault said. "He gave us a chance to win."
"There's no doubt we didn't come out the way we should have," Vigneault said. The Flames "played a real simple north-south game, throwing pucks at the net."
The Flyers are right back at it tonight as they play the red hot Oilers in Edmonton.
