Over the weekend, new Philadelphia Flyers' head coach Alain Vigneault made the message clear, he runs the show and if you don't play hard, you don't play. Doesn't matter how much of a veteran you are. Jake Voracek learned that as he was pretty much glued to the bench or playing on the fourth line during Saturday's loss to the Vancouver Canucks. On Monday Vigneault explained why he demoted Voracek. "Jake at this time, not from a lack of effort or a lack of trying to do the right things, but he is fighting it a little bit right now," Vigneault said on Monday. "Uncharacteristically, he's losing some puck battles and there are some decisions with the puck that are not typical of him. In the last game, we were down by a goal and I felt I had to make a quick change in the third period."
"He had a good practice today and I'm sure he's going to play well for us [Tuesday]," Vigneault added.Vigneault has yet to confirm if Voracek will play on the fourth line today in Calgary.
