With more news coming out on Thursday regarding the 2018 Team Canada WJC investigation, the hockey community is learning more and more on just how serious the situation is. As documents were obtained by Rick Westhead, one name stood out as it appears this player is facing double charges in the investigation.
The documents both confirm that NHL'ers Carter Hart, Cal Foote, Michael McLeod, and Alex Formenton were all officially arrested on January 26 and are facing charges related to the incident in 2018 at the World Junior Championships.
It seems though, that Michael McLeod is facing two charges in the case, as his name is listed on the document twice. All players, through their legal team, have stated their innocence and their willingness to fight the case as they have taken a leave of absence from their teams.
The London Police have scheduled a press conference for Monday, Feb. 5 at 2:00p.m. EST to be streamed on all social media platforms as they will update the press and public on the situation and hopefully provide further information on the future of the case.
