Philadelphia Flyers prospect Alexei Kolosov just recently arrived in North America after playing this season in the KHL for the Dinamo Minsk. He was then reassigned to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and made his professional debut on Saturday. The Lehigh Valley Phantoms defeated the Bridgeport Islanders 5-4 in overtime.
Alexei Kolosov did not allow a 5 on 5 goal as he allowed, 2 powerplay goals, penalty shot goal then allowed 6 on 5 goal late in the 3rd period as the Bridgeport Islanders pulled their goalie to tie the game. With this victory, the Phantoms, now just need 1 more point to clinch a playoff spot. Alexei Kolosov stopped 24 of 28 shots and is now 1-0 in the AHL. With 3 games remaining on the Lehigh Valley Phantoms schedule, there is a good chance we will see them in the playoffs, and hopefully we can see more of the Flyers potential future goaltender Alexei Kolosov in action.
