The NHL has been center stage the past few weeks, making some major announcements for the future. From the 2026 Olympics, to the Stadium Series, and brand new Four Nations Faceoff, the NHL has made a great effort to continue to grow the sport and the league. On Sunday, the NHL made another announcement regarding an upcoming All-Star game.
As the New York Islanders and New York Rangers took the ice on Sunday at MetLife Stadium to cap off the 2024 NHL Stadium Series, the NHL made a major announcement that proved to be fantastic news for Islanders fans.
Not only will this be a big weekend for Islanders fans and Long Island, but the 2026 All-Star game could feature some special festivities and act as a "sendoff" as it is being held right before the 2026 Winter Olympics in Northern Italy.
Although there will be no All-Star Game in 2025 due to the brand new "Four Nations Faceoff", it was confirmed that Long Island was next in line to host the event, no matter if it was 2025 or 2026.
