Former Flyer Rod Brind'Amour's contract with the Carolina Hurricanes ended and there was speculation of where he would coach next. Now, this can all be put to rest as Rod Brind'Amour and the Carolina Hurricanes agree to an extension.

Per Kevin Weekes, Brind'Amour has signed a multi-year contract extension to stay with the Hurricanes and will be bringing back the rest of the coaching staff.
It seemed likely that the Hurricanes would re-sign Rod Brind'Amour as their head coach as he has been great for them since he was hired. In 452 career games as the Hurricanes' head coach, he has a record of 278-130-44. He also won the Jack Adams award for the 2020-21 season.
