Last week, the Philadelphia Flyers have begun to move into the next phase of their process and prepare for the upcoming trade deadline as they locked up Ryan Poehling and Owen Tippett for the future. As the Flyers begin making calls around the league, is a young center's name beginning to pop up on some teams radars?
Flyers center Morgan Frost has had an up and down season as he keeps trying to adjust to head coach John Tortorella's coaching style. On the season, Frost has recorded 22 points on 15 assists and seven goals.
Frost has shown improvement the last five games, recording four points in his last five including a two point performance in a loss against Tampa Bay. According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Frost's name could be popping up in trade discussions with Danny Briere.
"Frost's name has popped up again on the trade front and he believes that the Flyers have engaged in trade discussions. They are still willing to move him in a talent-for-talent type of move."
Although Pagnotta feels that a deal before the deadline is unlikely, the latest downward trend of the Flyers could alter those discussions and potential deals on March 8.
