As the Philadelphia Flyers and first-year general manager Danny Briere are forced with the unique task of moving forward without their star goaltender Carter Hart, the Flyers have been rumored to be in the market to pickup a new goaltender to help take the load off of Samuel Ersson. After a young goalie was placed on waivers, many are expecting the Flyers to make a move.

On Saturday afternoon, the Colorado Avalanche placed 24-year-old goalie Ivan Prosvetov on waivers, making him available for any team to claim him before the trade deadline.
Prosvetov played just 11 games for the Avalanche this season, going 4-3-1 with a .895 save percentage and a 3.16 GAA. Prosvetov is an extremely young, and inexperienced goalie, playing just 24 career games over four seasons. 13 of his 24 games came with the Arizona Coyotes.

With Prosvetov's contract only being $775k, it could be very possible that the Flyers claim him off waivers and use him to take some of the workload off of Samuel Ersson, who has struggled in his past five games since Hart has taken his leave of absence.
Although it would make sense, many are saying that the Flyers should just stay the course and give Cal Peterson the opportunity to back up Ersson and see what he can do.
