With the 2024 NHL regular season coming to an end in the next few weeks, teams are already looking forward to the summer to rebuild their team during the offseason and bring in talent to hopefully result in them playing during the spring, rather than being on the couch.
One Western Conference team, according to Rob Ellis, already has their eyes on a Flyers superstar and looks like they are going to be extremely active in trying to acquire him come the summer time.
On Wednesday, it was reported that the Montreal Canadiens are interested in Flyers All-Star Travis Konecny, who has turned in the best season of his career thus far in 2024.
"The Montreal Canadiens and Philadelphia Flyers are generating serious buzz. At the center of the speculation stands a deal that could send Travis Konecny packing to Montreal this offseason."
In order to land Konecny, it is being reported that the Canadiens would send Philadelphia Josh Anderson, Jayden Struble, Owen Beck, a 2024 first-round pick, and a 2025 third-round pick.
Although departing from a fan-favorite in Konecny would be a massive blow to the fans and the locker room, everyone knows that Danny Briere highly values first round picks. If Briere could land a first and a player who John Tortorella is familiar with in Josh Anderson, the Flyers could pull the trigger.
