It's been several hours since the shocking announcement that Flyers starting goaltender Carter Hart will be on an indefinite leave of absence from the team due to personal reasons.
Hart, has been playing exceptionally well this year and has been the cornerstone to why the Flyers are four points behind the New York Rangers for first in the Metropolitan division.
In his absence,
Samuel Ersson will become the new #1 goalie which leaves the question who will be the backup? Currently,
Cal Petersen will be manning that post however with his dismal numbers with The Phantoms, it creates a potential goalie crisis.
The good news is that the Flyers could get some help overseas with Alexei Kolosov signed to his entry level contract while he plays in the KHL.

He is currently playing with the Diamo Minsk on loan, where his team is not performing well. It was noted that their season will come to an end on February 24th where they're not expected to make the playoffs. That will only mean five weeks to wait for him to arrive if he so chooses.
Kolosov is from Belarus which holds no issues for him with the current state of the war between Russia and Ukraine.
Having played 35 games, he currently holds a goal against average of 2.41 and a save percentage of .904 with a record of 15-16-3. It remains to be seen on how long Hart will be out. Perhaps they will get their reinforcements sooner than later.
