Ivan Miroshnichenko, top prospect for the 2022 NHL Draft and potential Flyer, has been diagnosed with "serious health problems", and could miss all of next season.
According to Russia Hockey, he is being treated in Germany. Miroshnichenko is suffering from Hodgkin's lymphoma. In the past, Mario Lemieux, former Pittsburgh Penguins and Hockey Hall of Famer, was also diagnosed with this disease back in 1993.
Miroshnichenko was ranked 6th on the Bob McKenzie prospect list for the 2022 Draft. He scored 16 points in 31 games this season with the Omskie Krylia in the VHL.
We are hoping for the best for him and his family.
